Dashboard

Last updated:

Experimental feature

This is an experimental feature. The dashboard is being rolled out gradually. It does not appear as its own item in the top navigation. If it is enabled for your account, an administrator can set Dashboard as the home page, or go to app.sortscape.com/dashboard.

The dashboard gives administrators a high-level view of what is happening across their business.

Rather than jumping between screens, it brings together key information from across SortScape so you can quickly see:

  • New work opportunities that need attention
  • Upcoming scheduled work
  • Invoicing activity and cash-flow opportunities
  • Estimated value in your work pipeline
  • Tasks that may need follow-up

It is designed to answer one question:

What should I be paying attention to right now?

An anonymized example of the SortScape dashboard showing pipeline cards, action required items, and today's schedule.

The dashboard is available to users with the Administrator role, and only when the feature is enabled for the account.

Employees and contractors cannot access the dashboard.

The dashboard does not appear as its own item in the top navigation. If it is enabled, an administrator can:

  1. Open Settings → Company → General and set Dashboard as the home page, then open SortScape again. See Setting dashboard as your home page.
  2. Or go directly to app.sortscape.com/dashboard. If you get a “not found” page, the feature is not enabled for your account yet.

The top row shows five summary cards. Each card is clickable and takes you to the relevant area of SortScape.

Shows how many customer requests are still open, plus how many have been unactioned for more than 24 hours.

Shows the total value of open quotes (draft and sent), plus how many sent quotes are expiring within the next three days.

Shows the estimated value of visits scheduled for the current week, the number of visits, and how many scheduled visits are overdue.

Highlights completed visits that have not yet been invoiced. This helps you spot cash-flow opportunities. Sub-metrics distinguish recently completed work (0–2 days) from older outstanding items. To invoice several of those visits at once, see Invoicing customers and Bulk invoicing.

Shows the total value of invoices created during the current week. If you use SortScape invoicing, overdue sent invoices are also shown when applicable.

Note: Pipeline values for scheduled and pending work are estimates based on visit display values, not confirmed financial totals.

This section lists operational items that may need your attention. Examples include:

  • Overdue visits not marked complete
  • Completed visits not yet invoiced
  • Overdue invoices
  • Requests unactioned for more than 24 hours
  • Quotes expiring soon
  • Accepted quotes not yet scheduled
  • Unscheduled visits due in the coming week

Each item links directly to the relevant screen. When there is nothing urgent, you will see No urgent actions.

A snapshot of today’s schedule:

  • Estimated value scheduled for today
  • Number of visits today
  • Overdue visit count

You will also see up to three upcoming visits for today, including property, time, work type, and estimated value. Visits that are past their scheduled start time and not yet completed are flagged as not completed. Use See all to open the full day schedule.

When team members are marked away on the roster, this section lists who is away and why (for example personal leave, annual leave, sick leave, or public holiday). It only appears when there is someone away during the current week.

This list is an administrator overview. It is not shown on the schedule, and employees and contractors cannot see it. To check who is off from the schedule, open Assign employees on a job run and scroll to Unavailable employees. See Seeing who is away from the schedule.

Administrators who receive the weekly summary email (sent on Sundays) get a dashboard-style summary in their inbox when the dashboard is enabled for their account.

The email includes:

  • A brief written summary of the week
  • Pipeline highlights (with last week / next week or this week comparisons where relevant)
  • Action required items
  • People away
  • A View full dashboard link to open the full dashboard in SortScape

Administrators can choose Dashboard as their default home page under Settings → Company → General, so SortScape opens directly to this view when they sign in. See General account settings for more detail.
