Chemical tracking

Your crew gets the amounts for every tank. You get the spray record.

Save your mixes once. On the job, your crew picks one, enters the area and gets the amount of every product for every tank. The weather, sprayer and licensed applicator go on the record, ready for your spray diary.

Free for 30 days. Chemical records are part of SortScape Premium.

Set up once

Your mixes and sprayers, saved

Save each mix once

An application preset is a mix with the rates your business uses: one product or a full tank mix. Add a default target, and tick Requires a licence for anything that needs a licensed applicator.

  • Spray or granular
  • As many products as the tank takes
  • Rates you set, not a guess from us

Find any registered product

Start typing the name, or the number printed on the drum. SortScape searches the APVMA register in Australia, US EPA registrations and UK MAPP numbers, then fills in the registration number and active ingredients for you.

  • A link to the official label
  • Wetting agents, dyes and fertiliser can be typed in by hand

Sprayers that know their coverage

Save each sprayer with its tank size and how much ground one full tank covers. Every calibration is kept as a history, and SortScape tells you when a sprayer hasn't been calibrated for 12 months.

On the job

The amounts for every tank, before you fill it

Pick the mix from a list

Your crew opens the visit, taps Record application and picks the mix. No retyping rates at the tap, and no ringing the office to check them.

Spot sprays too

For a spot spray, describe where it went, like "weeds along the driveway and back fence", and enter how much mix you made. SortScape works out the product in it.

Fertiliser by the kilo

Granular presets skip the sprayer. Enter the area and SortScape gives you how much to spread, in grams or kilos.

Weather and licence on every record

In Australia the temperature, humidity and wind fill in from the nearest Bureau of Meteorology station (the National Weather Service in the US). Pick who's applying it and their licence number goes on the record.

  • A warning when Delta T is below 2 or above 10
  • Can't save a licensed mix without a licence number

Afterwards

Records you can hand over

Your spray diary, ready to export

The chemical applications report lists every spray by date, product or property, with the registration number, rate, quantity, area, weather, sprayer, applicator and licence. Export it to CSV when an auditor or council asks.

What went on this property last time

Every visit shows what was applied at the property in the last 12 months, with the rates, amounts and who applied it. The property's Chemicals tab lists the lot.

Show customers what you applied

Tick Chemical applications when you send a service report, and the customer gets each product, rate and amount with the weather and who applied it.

Also included

Built for records you have to keep

Crew and contractors record their own

Employees and contractors can record sprays and fix their own records. Only admins can void one.

Nothing quietly deleted

A voided record is kept with who voided it and when. It just drops off reports and service reports.

Licence numbers on file

Store each person's pesticide licence number and expiry on their profile, so it's on every record they make.

Your records stay yours

Move off Premium and you can still see and export every record you made. You just can't add new ones.

Questions

Which plan is chemical tracking on? +
Recording applications is part of SortScape Premium. You can set up your presets and sprayers on any plan first. If you move off Premium, you can still see and export every record you made.
Which product registers can I search? +
The APVMA register in Australia, US EPA registrations and UK MAPP numbers. Search by product name or the number on the label. Products that aren't registered, like most wetting agents and fertilisers, can be typed in by hand.
Does SortScape tell me what rate to use? +
No. Each preset uses the rates your business sets. SortScape works out the amounts from them, so always check them against the current product label.
Where does the weather come from? +
In Australia, the nearest Bureau of Meteorology station. In the US, the nearest National Weather Service station. Everywhere else, your crew types it in. They can always change a reading before they save.
Can my crew record sprays on their phone? +
Yes. Employees and contractors record applications on the visit, in the app or a browser, and can fix records they made. Only admins can void a record.
Is this everything my state needs on a spray record? +
It covers what most spray diaries ask for: the product and registration number, rate and amount, target, where and how much area, sprayer, start time, weather, and the applicator with their licence number. Rules differ between states and countries, so check yours. Anything extra can go in the record's notes, which are included in the export.
