Record a chemical application
Last updated:
Record each application on the visit before you start spraying. That’s when the tank amounts help, and the weather it records is the weather at the start of the spray.
Chemical tracking is part of SortScape Premium. You need at least one application preset first. See Set up application presets and sprayers. The visit needs a property.
Record an application
Section titled “Record an application”- Open the visit and find Chemical applications.
- Click Record application.
- Under What you applied, pick the application preset, then enter the Target pest or weed.
- Under Where and how much, choose Whole area or Spot spray. Describe Where, such as “front lawn and nature strip”. For a whole area, enter the area treated.
- Pick the sprayer. SortScape fills in the Mix volume from the area and the sprayer’s calibration, then shows the amount of each product for each Full tank and Part tank. Check the amounts against the product label before you apply (see Disclaimer).
- Under Record details, check the Start time and who it was Applied by. If the preset requires a licence and that person has no licence number on file, enter it.
- Check the Conditions. In Australia, SortScape fills in the temperature, humidity and wind from the nearest Bureau of Meteorology station. In the US, it uses the nearest National Weather Service station. Elsewhere, type them in. A warning shows when Delta T is below 2 or above 10.
- Click Save.
Each product in the mix is saved as its own record, and they show together as one spray.
Edit or void a record
Section titled “Edit or void a record”Click a product name, or Edit, to correct the spray. Employees and contractors can edit records they applied or entered. Only admins can void a record. A voided record is kept, but it no longer shows on the visit, the property, reports or service reports.
See and export your spray records
Section titled “See and export your spray records”- The property’s Chemicals tab lists everything applied there.
- Open Reports and run Detail of chemical applications for your spray diary. You can export it as a CSV.
- To show the chemicals on a customer’s service report, tick Chemical applications when you generate the report.
If you move from Premium to Basic, you can still see and export the records you already made, but you can’t record new ones.
Disclaimer
Section titled “Disclaimer”SortScape calculates the tank amounts from the presets, rates, sprayers and areas your business enters. It doesn’t verify or recommend products, rates, concentrations or tank mixes, and it doesn’t give chemical-use, agronomic or safety advice.
Before you mix or apply anything, check every amount yourself and follow the current product label, Safety Data Sheet, any permit that applies (such as an APVMA permit in Australia) and the laws where you work. A typo in a rate, tank size or coverage changes every amount. See section 8 of the terms of service for the full disclaimer.
