How can I pause my repeating jobs?

Last updated:

SortScape does not have a “pause” button for repeating visits. If you need to take time off, you can push visits forward using Shift schedule on the web calendar.

If you only need to move a day or two, see Rescheduling visits in SortScape for moving individual visits or job runs.

Note: Shift schedule is only available in the web view. The Tools menu is not on the mobile app.

  1. Open Schedule on the web app.
  2. Click Tools.
  3. Click Shift schedule.
Tools dropdown on the schedule with Shift schedule highlighted

The Shift schedule window has two fields. There is no start-and-end date range.

Effective date (one date only)

All visits scheduled on or after this date are moved forward. Visits before this date stay where they are.

Number of days to move

How far forward to push those visits. For example, enter 7 to move them out by one week.

This cannot be undone. SortScape will ask you to confirm before it runs.

Example: push your whole schedule out one week

Section titled “Example: push your whole schedule out one week”

If you need to take a week off and want everything from today onward moved forward:

  1. Open ToolsShift schedule.
  2. Set Effective date to today (or the first day you want to move).
  3. Set Number of days to move to 7.
  4. Click Shift schedule and confirm.

One run moves every visit on or after the effective date. You do not need to run it once per day.

Shift schedule does not let you pick an end date. It always affects every visit from the effective date onward.

To move just one week (for example, next Monday through Friday), use Move job run for each day in that week instead. See Rescheduling visits in SortScape.

Do not run Shift schedule once per day to cover a week. Each run moves all future visits from that date onward, so multiple runs can shift the same visits more than once.
