SMS opt-out and resubscribe

How it works
Section titled “How it works”Customers can stop or restart SMS messages by replying with simple keywords.
SortScape automatically applies these requests and sends a short confirmation so they know it worked.
This ensures customers can control their messages and helps keep SMS delivery reliable.
Opting out
Section titled “Opting out”Keywords customers can send
Section titled “Keywords customers can send”Customers can reply with any of the following:
- STOP, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE
- Natural phrases such as stop texting me
What happens when they opt out
Section titled “What happens when they opt out”When a customer opts out:
- The number is unsubscribed
- You cannot send SMS to them anymore
- They receive a one-time confirmation (see below) — this message does not use any of your SMS text message credits
Confirmation message
You have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive messages from this business. Reply START to resubscribe.
Opting back in
Section titled “Opting back in”Keywords customers can send
Section titled “Keywords customers can send”Customers can reply with any of the following:
- START, UNSTOP, or SUBSCRIBE
What happens when they resubscribe
Section titled “What happens when they resubscribe”When a customer resubscribes:
- SMS is re-enabled for that number
- They receive a one-time confirmation (see below)
Confirmation message
You’re now subscribed and may receive messages from this business again. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
