The activity log

The activity log is a complete record of all changes made to important information in your account. It shows you who made each change, what was changed, and when it happened. Think of it as a detailed change history that helps you track activity and understand how your data has changed over time.
What changes are tracked?
Section titled “What changes are tracked?”The activity log records changes to:
- Jobs - Any updates to job details, scheduling changes, completion status, and when jobs are deleted
- Properties - Changes to property information, archiving/unarchiving, and deletions
- Job runs - Changes to job runs and crews For example, if you reschedule a job, mark it as completed, or update a property address, all of these actions appear in your activity log.
How to access the activity log
Section titled “How to access the activity log”View all activity
Section titled “View all activity”1. Go the admin page for the activity log.
2. You’ll see all changes made in your account
View activity for a specific record
Section titled “View activity for a specific record”You can also see the activity history for individual jobs or properties:
1. Open a Job or Property page
2. Look for the Activity log menu option
3. Click it to see a modal showing only the changes made to that specific record
Understanding the activity log display
Section titled “Understanding the activity log display”Each entry in the activity log shows:
- Date & Time - When the change was made
- Action - What happened (e.g., “Visit completed,” “Property updated,” “Visit rescheduled”)
- User - Who made the change (or “System” for automatic changes)
- Details - The specific fields that changed, showing the old value and new value

How to filter the activity log
Section titled “How to filter the activity log”The activity log provides several filters to help you find specific changes:
By date range
Section titled “By date range”Use the date picker to view activity between specific dates. This is helpful if you’re looking for changes made during a particular week or month.
By action type
Section titled “By action type”Filter by the type of change:
- Visit actions - Created, Updated, Completed, Scheduled, Rescheduled, etc.
- Property actions - Created, Updated, Archived, Unarchived, etc.
By user
Section titled “By user”See only changes made by a specific employee. This is useful if you want to review what a particular person did.
Common use cases
Section titled “Common use cases”Investigating a discrepancy
Section titled “Investigating a discrepancy”If you notice something unexpected (like a date change, deleted visit, or missing information), you can check the activity log to see exactly what happened, when, and who made the change.
Compliance & accountability
Section titled “Compliance & accountability”Use the activity log to demonstrate accountability to clients or for internal compliance purposes. It provides a complete record of who accessed or modified critical business information.
Understanding workflow changes
Section titled “Understanding workflow changes”If you’re confused about why a job status changed or when a property was archived, the activity log shows the complete history.
Auditing team activity
Section titled “Auditing team activity”As an admin, periodically review the activity log to ensure your team is making appropriate changes and following proper procedures.
Who can access the activity log?
Section titled “Who can access the activity log?”Only admin users in your account can view the activity log. This ensures sensitive information about changes is only visible to authorized employees.
How long is the data stored for?
Section titled “How long is the data stored for?”The log stores data for 90 days, after which it is automatically cleared.
How can I find deleted visits?
Section titled “How can I find deleted visits?”As an admin navigate to https://app.sortscape.com/admin/audit_logs?action_filter=job_deleted to see all deleted visits.
