Line item photos let you attach images to individual quote line items. Customers see those photos under each item on the online quote and on the quote PDF.
Use this when a picture makes the quote clearer than text alone. For example, you might show the garden bed that needs clearing, the plant variety you are proposing, or a before-and-after from a similar job. Photos sit with the specific line they belong to, so the customer can see what each item covers without scrolling a separate gallery.
How to add photos to a line item
Section titled “How to add photos to a line item”- Open a quote and edit a line item.
- In the Photos section, click the add button and choose one or more images.
- Save the line item.
You can add multiple photos per line. To remove a photo, click the clear icon on that thumbnail.
Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF, and HEIC.
What the customer sees
Section titled “What the customer sees”On the online quote, thumbnails appear under each line item that has photos. Customers can click a thumbnail to open a larger view.
The same photos appear on the quote PDF attached to quote emails. They are shown inline with the line items, not as separate email attachments.
Photos after the quote is accepted
Section titled “Photos after the quote is accepted”When you create a job from a quote, line item photos copy across to the matching job line items. That gives your crew the same visual reference the customer saw on the quote.
Line item photos are for quotes and jobs. They are not added to invoice line items.
If you want photos on an invoice, attach them to the visit instead. When you create the invoice, you can choose which visit photos to include. See Selecting attachments.
Things to know
Section titled “Things to know”- Quote-level attachments (the usual quote attachment gallery) still work as before. Line item photos are separate and sit on each line.
- If an optional line item was not included when the quote was accepted, its photos are omitted from the PDF so the document does not highlight work that was not bought. See Optional line items on quotes.
- If you do not see a Photos section when editing a quote line item, contact support to enable the feature (Premium plan required).
