Legacy plan features and plan changes
Last updated:
Some SortScape customers are on a legacy plan — a grandfathered set of features for accounts that signed up before our May 2025 pricing update. This article explains what legacy plans include, and what happens if you temporarily upgrade to Premium (for example, to try Zapier) and then switch back.
This only applies to legacy customers. If you signed up on or after the May 2025 pricing update, see our current plan comparison instead.
Who is on a legacy plan?
Section titled “Who is on a legacy plan?”You are on a legacy plan if your SortScape account was created before 29 May 2025.
You stay on the legacy plan even if you change your user count or select the Basic tier in Billing. Your billing screen may show Basic pricing, but your account keeps its legacy feature entitlements.
What features do legacy plans include?
Section titled “What features do legacy plans include?”Legacy plans include the features you had access to before the May 2025 pricing change. In addition to standard scheduling, quoting, and invoicing, legacy customers keep:
- Xero integration — see Integrating with Xero
- QuickBooks Online integration — see Integrating with QuickBooks Online
- Automatic visit reminders
- Service reports — see Sending a job report to clients
- Reporting
If I upgrade to Premium and then switch back, do I keep Xero?
Section titled “If I upgrade to Premium and then switch back, do I keep Xero?”Yes — if you are on a legacy plan, you keep Xero and QuickBooks integration when you switch back from Premium to your original plan.
You can upgrade to Premium at any time on monthly billing to try Premium-only features such as Zapier. When you downgrade again, you return to your legacy feature set:
- You keep: Xero, QuickBooks, automatic visit reminders, service reports, and reporting
- You lose: all other Premium features
Your existing Xero or QuickBooks connection is not removed when you downgrade back to a legacy plan.
How does this differ for new customers?
Section titled “How does this differ for new customers?”If you signed up on or after 29 May 2025, you are on the current Basic or Premium plans — not a legacy plan.
On the current Basic plan, Xero and QuickBooks are Premium-only. If you upgrade to Premium and later downgrade to Basic, you will not keep Xero or QuickBooks integration.
Changing plans
Section titled “Changing plans”On monthly billing, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately, with proration on your next invoice. See Billing plans, changes, and cancellation for full details.
