Can I send text messages from my own number?

It’s generally not possible to send text messages that display as coming from your mobile phone number as this could be misused by scammers to pretend they are you.

Any text messages sent by SortScape will come from a number which is assigned to us by the SMS provider we use and will be different in each country.

Showing a callback number inside the message is different. The user_mobile tag puts a phone number in the message text, and you can control which number it shows. See The user_mobile tag.

Customers can still reply. SortScape captures replies, notifies you by email or push, and shows them in Customer Messages for administrators. See Text message replies.

In Australia and New Zealand, a reply to a much older message in the thread may not reach SortScape. See Why didn’t I receive a customer’s SMS reply?.
