How to copy a job run

Trying to reuse the same customers every week?

Do not copy the job run. Set each customer up as a repeating job on a crew. SortScape will rebuild the run on each due day.

Use copy job run only when the same group of one-off jobs needs to happen again on an irregular date.

Copying a job run copies all of its one-off jobs to a new date. Use it when:

• you perform a pre-defined group of jobs together on the same day and

• those jobs happen more than once but don’t repeat on a regular basis For example you provide snow-removal services in the winter and need to schedule a snow run when it snows. Since you don’t know when it’s going to snow, you cannot set up the snow plowing jobs on a regularly-repeating basis. So what you can do is:

• The first day it snows for the season, create one or more jobruns with all your snow-removal jobs. The jobs should all be one-off jobs.

• The next time it snows you can copy those job runs to a new day.

• When you copy that jobrun, all your job details and order of jobs will be maintained in the copied run. How to copy a job run:

1. Click the … menu at the top of the job run you want to copy
2. Click Copy job run
3. Enter the date you want for your new job run
4. Choose which crew to assign it to.
5. The system will create a new copy of all the one-off jobs in that schedule. Please note that we do not copy over repeating jobs.
