Bulk selecting visits on the schedule
Last updated:
Bulk visit selection lets you work with several scheduled visits at once. This is useful when a crew does not finish all of the visits in a run, when you need to move a group of visits to another crew, or when you want to complete or skip several visits together.
Bulk selection is available on the new schedule.

Selecting visits in a job run
Section titled “Selecting visits in a job run”Bulk selection works within one job run at a time.
To start selecting visits:
- Go to the Schedule.
- Find the job run that contains the visits you want to select.
- Click the … menu at the top of the job run.
- Click Select visits.
- Tick the visits you want to include, or click a visit card to select or deselect it.
When selection mode is active, a selection bar appears at the bottom of the screen. It shows how many visits are selected and gives you an Actions menu.
To leave selection mode, click Cancel, press Escape, or open the same job run … menu and click Select visits again.
Faster ways to select visits
Section titled “Faster ways to select visits”On desktop, you can also use these shortcuts:
- Hold Ctrl on Windows or Command on Mac and click a visit to start selecting or toggle that visit.
- After you select one visit, hold Shift and click another visit in the same job run to select the range between them.
On mobile and touch devices, use Select visits from the job run menu, then tick visits using the checkboxes.
Moving selected visits
Section titled “Moving selected visits”Once visits are selected, you can drag them as a group.
- Drag the selected visits into another job run to move them there.
- Drag the selected visits onto an empty add-job-run area to create or choose a job run for that day.
If any of the selected visits are confirmed with customers, SortScape asks whether you want to keep them confirmed or mark them as pending. See Visit confirmations for more about confirmed visits.
Moving selected visits to the next working day
Section titled “Moving selected visits to the next working day”Use Move to next day when the crew did not finish the run and you want to carry the remaining visits forward.
- Select the leftover visits.
- Open the selection bar Actions menu.
- Click Move to next day.
SortScape moves the selected visits to the next working day based on your visit settings. For example, if your account is set to work Monday to Friday and you move visits from Friday, they will move to Monday.
If the same crew already has a job run on the next working day, SortScape adds the visits to that run. If not, SortScape creates a job run for that crew on the next working day.
After the move finishes, a message appears with a link to the day the visits were moved to. Click the date in the message to jump to that day on the schedule.
If any selected visits are confirmed with customers, SortScape asks whether to keep them confirmed or mark them as pending before moving them.
Moving visits to the next working day is a one-off change. It does not move future visits in a repeating series.
Completing or skipping selected visits
Section titled “Completing or skipping selected visits”You can complete or skip multiple selected visits at once:
- Select the visits.
- Open the selection bar Actions menu.
- Click Complete or Skip.
Only unresolved visits can be completed or skipped. If your selection includes visits that are already completed or skipped, those actions stay unavailable until you deselect those visits.
The actions you see also depend on your permissions. For example, some users can move visits but cannot complete or skip them.
Skipping selected visits skips only those instances. It does not change future visits in a repeating series. To reschedule an entire repeating series, see Rescheduling visits in SortScape.
