What's new in the schedule

Last updated:

We’ve rebuilt the SortScape schedule from the ground up. It looks more modern and feels much faster, especially if you manage a busy day with lots of visits. Everything you rely on still works the same way: drag-and-drop, crews, filters, map view, and the rest.

We’re rolling the new schedule out to all accounts. Once it is on your account, there is no option to switch back to the previous view.

  • Faster: the schedule loads and scrolls more smoothly when you have many visits on a single day.
  • Cleaner look: an updated layout that’s easier to scan on desktop and mobile.
  • More on the way: this new foundation lets us add improvements much faster than before.

One of the first big improvements is bulk selection, which lets you work with several visits at once instead of one at a time. You can:

  • Select multiple visits in a job run.
  • Move, complete, or skip them together.
  • Drag a group of selected visits to another day or crew in one go.

Job run titles can use each crew’s colour on the day, week, and month views. If your titles are still green, open the schedule settings (gear icon) and turn Crew colors on.

Each crew’s colour is set under Visits → Crews. See Using the display settings on the schedule for rollout details and How to effectively use crews in job management.

In month view, open the schedule settings (gear icon) and choose how job runs are spaced under Run heights:

  • Fit content keeps each job run only as tall as the visits inside it.
  • Equal lines runs up across the days of the week so you can scan across more easily.

This option only appears while you are in month view. See Using the display settings on the schedule for details.

When someone starts a visit timer, the visit card can show a pulsing timer pill with the total time spent at the property. That makes it easy to see which visits are in progress while you scan the schedule. The pill turns orange if the total goes past the visit’s estimate. See Seeing a running timer on the schedule for how the total is calculated.

We’re rolling this out gradually. If you do not see the timer pill yet, your account may not have it enabled.

If anything looks off or behaves differently than you expect, message us via Intercom (the chat bubble in SortScape). Let us know what you were doing and, if you can, send a screenshot. That helps us fix things quickly.
